Comrades,

Nov. 5th was the EOD appreciation dinner. The President of the Wounded EOD Warrior Foundation, Sherri Beck provided the food for the dinner along with the certificates of appreciation for the volunteers. Sherri provided some insite on all the things the foundation does for military men and women and their families. I would like to hank all of the volunteers for their time.

Our Early Bird dinner was outstanding as always. Food was prepared by Ms. Burley and was as good as ever. Thanks to Brian Martin setting things up for our members.

The joint Thanksgiving dinner put on by Eagles 4315 and Legion 148 was a great success. Some 75 people were served. My apologies for the shortage of turkey. Planning will be better next year. Thanks to all who volunteered for this cause.

The Legion Christmas party was bar none the best ever. Ginger, Christine, Sandy and Jo did an outstanding job on the decorations. Thanks to Dave and Ginger for all the setup and arranging for the party, and thanks to all for the food brought.

I would like to let the SAL know how proud the Post is of your efforts in the Toys for Tots drive. Everything could not have been any better. Good job, Men.

One last thing I would like to address before I close. When we have pot luck or bring a dish dinners, I see many people coming in with nothing and then want to complain about how we do things or something they 3want to eat that is not on hand. People work hard to make these events happen and bring food. Don not give them a hard time, give them help or bring what you want. Also, those of you who do not bring a dish should thank those who do.

Special thanks to Ginger, Dave, James, Cathy, Jimmy, Tommy, Tom, Phyllis, Jerri, Jason A., Jason M., Karen, Barb, Allison, Jo, Sandy, Christine, Tim, Jody, Patty and Dickie.
For God and Country,

Jim “Woody” Woodrum
